Cleveland, Ohio-Parker Hannifin has followed its acquisition of seals and gaskets supplier Filtran Aftermarket Products with another buy-hose and tubing producer Texloc & Page International, of Fort Worth, Texas.
Parker bought the Texas firm, which makes rubber-covered polytetraflouroethylene hose and silicone hose and tubing, among other products, for an undisclosed cash sum.
Texloc's products lines include industrial convoluted and corrugated tubing, high-purity PTFE tubing for general industrial use and PTFE capillary tubing for instrumentation and medical devices.
Page International's products include PTFE textile and stainless wire reinforced smooth bore and convoluted hoses as well as the rubber-covered products.
Texloc & Page's revenue for 2004 was over $18 million and Parker expects the acquisition to add to its earnings in fiscal 2005.
"We are excited to have Texloc & Page International join Parker. Their range of hose and tubing nicely complements our existing offering," said Bob Bond, president of Parker's Fluid Connectors Group, in a company statement.
"Texloc provides us greater access to the life sciences, electrical insulation, and industrial markets. The Page International product line offers us the opportunity to further serve customers in the food processing and pharmaceutical markets," Bond added.
For the Texas company, Dan Rodriguez, general manager, commented that "Parker will provide a great opportunity for Texloc and Page International to expand our products globally. Their global presence and reputation for quality will enable wider distribution of the products we are proud to have developed."
