Elementis Specialties appoints French as chief operating office

Hightstown, New Jersey-William French has been appointed chief operating officer for Elementis Specialties Inc. French was previously vice president of Elementis Specialties' Coatings, Inks, Construction, Ceramics, & Water Treatment group.

Elementis Specialties describes itself as a leading worldwide manufacturer of specialty additives and pigment dispersions, serving a wide range of industries, including the plastics, coatings, inks, adhesives and construction sectors.

For the rubber sector, the specialities unit provides depolymerised rubber for rubber and tyre compoounders and various other processing additives.

Elementis itself has a speciality rubber business manufacturing Linatex-brand abrasion-resistant sheeting.
