Sartomer creates new Asia division

Exton, Pennsylvania-Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Co. is expanding its operations in the Asia/Pacific region with the formation of the Sartomer Asia division and has appointed a general manager to lead it.
"Establishing the Sartomer Asia division offers the company an opportunity to expand our presence in the region and supply the best possible customer service," said Sartomer president Nick Trainer.
David Long, the company´s former vice president of finance and Asia, is the new Sartomer Asia division general manager. He will be based in Hong Kong and is responsible for the division's business development operations. Previously, the company´s Asian activities were coordinated from its world headquarters in Exton.
Long brings more than 20 years of business and international experience to Sartomer´s Asian business development efforts. He has held multiple positions within parent Total SA, including ceo of one of the company´s chemical businesses based in Hong Kong. He also is the former cfo of Atofina SA's Worldwide Resins business at Cray Valley, a Sartomer sister company located in Paris.
Sartomer also announced it has established a trading company-Sartomer Distribution Shanghai-to facilitate importing and distribution of the company´s products throughout the Asia/Pacific region.
