Vammala, Finland-Profiles producer FinnProfiles Oy has started building a new fire-resistant warehouse at its plant in Ii, which the company said will be completed and ready to use during December 2005.
In January this year, the extrusion firm also started up a new silicone rubber extruder line at the plant-which specialises in silicone extrusion. "Now we have four silicone production lines in use," the firm said on its website.
As well as the FinnProfiles plant at Ii, which it says has been completely modernised, the firm has a plant at Vammala which company information says, "concentrates on the production of rubber profiles."
FinnProfiles claims to have "long been the leading Finnish manufacturer of rubber profiles and the one with the most extensive selection of materials." In its two modern production plants, the company said it extrudes more than 2000 different profiles-mainly using EPDM, silicone rubber and TPEs.
