ICIS-LOR launches SBR price report covering the US market
Houston, Texas -- ICIS-LOR, the global market pricing and intelligence service for the oil and chemical industries, has launched a new price report covering the US market for styrene butadiene rubber (SBR). The weekly SBR report offers spot and contract price assessments for oil-extended and non-oil grades in the US Gulf.
The SBR (US Gulf) report complements the existing ICIS-LOR chemical products portfolio. The pricing service already covers SBR markets in Europe and Asia.
There has never been a more important time to receive independent and unbiased pricing information on SBR, as the market continues to experience price volatility and tight demand,†said Stephen Burns, managing editor for ICIS-LOR and ICIS news in the Americas.
SBR markets have experienced an increase in spot prices after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit the US Gulf last month. Major petrochemical plants and refineries had to shut down during the storms and the resulting production shortfalls have prompted US buyers to import SBR from Europe and Asia.
The new ICIS-LOR report offers a new pricing benchmark in the US SBR market. We are delighted to be able to extend our coverage as ICIS-LOR is committed to providing the industry with accurate price assessments and business critical market information,†said Allison Farone, VP of Sales.
