Author seeks memories of UK latex industry
London -- UK author, Richard Scott is seeking people who remember the UK latex industry. He writes, "it would be good to create a record of the efforts of British companies who have been involved in the latex industry, before and since the second world war. Necessarily it would do justice to many other companies world wide and apart from the obvious content of chapters dealing with technology, regulations, health and safety, production, development, publishers, material suppliers etc."
Scott intends to title the book The Latex Century, and continues, "My reason for asking you for help is to make mention in a next available ERJ to ask persons and companies to send me articles for this interesting chapter, one reason being is the difficulty in contacting personnel, past and present, some are no longer with us, rest their souls, with photos where they are suitable, be it of individuals, groups or buildings, internal/external. The article length must be a maximum of four A4 sides."
Contact should be made directly with the author. ERJ recommends potential correspondents should take reasonable care to ensure their own safety and the safety of any materials they may send to Mr Scott. Contact him on richard@lat-derbys.fsnet.co.uk.
