Imerys acquires supplier of minerals, Denain-Anzin Minéraux
ST Austell, UK -- Imerys has announced the acquisition of the Nord Est Group subsidiary, Denain-Anzin Minéraux (DAM). No financial details were given. DAM achieved sales of approximately Euros 85 million in 2004.
DAM produces kaolins, feldspars, micas and quartz from industrial facilities located mostly in France, as well as in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Germany. Active on the European markets of minerals for ceramics, floor & wall tiles, sanitaryware, tableware, fibreglass, as well as rubber and paint,
Imerys said the acquisition fits perfectly and is consistent with Imerys' growth strategy in industrial minerals.
