Akron, Ohio --Goodyear's Assurance premium passenger tyre featuring ComforTred technology has snagged an original equipment fitment for 2006 models of the Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum R/T and Dodge Charger R/T.
It is the first original equipment position for the tyre line, which Goodyear called the most successful new product launch in the company's history. The Assurance originally was introduced as an aftermarket tyre in early 2004.
The tyres--size P225/60R18--were tested and tuned for the high-image vehicles at the tyre maker's test facility in San Angelo, Texas, according to Goodyear.
"From the beginning, the goal was a world-class tyre line targeted at luxury and premium vehicles. Our Assurance line of tyres were built with this objective," said Mike Parnell, Goodyear vice president, original equipment tyres.
