Chinese impose anti-dumping tariffs on EPDM
Beijing -- The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MoC) has imposed anti-dumping tariffs on EPDM imports originating from the US, Netherlands and South Korea, quoting the Ministry website as a source.
The AFX report said, "MoC will impose a range of duties on EDPM imports from the three countries with a maximum rate of 43 pct. The new anti-dumping measures will be implemented from today. MoC said that companies affected by the new measures will be able to submit petitions to it within the next 20 days."
An article on China Knowledge quoted MoFCom thus: "The Ministry of Commerce has capped the maximum rate of duties at 43%. However, lesser duties will be imposed on DuPont Dow Elastomers L.L.C. and Exxon Mobil Corp. from the U.S. The imposed duties on these two companies are 39% and 3% respectively." The only producer of EPDM in the Netherlands is DSM Elastomers.
