Zeon adds advanced HyTemp grades to Louisville production
Louisville, Kentucky -- Zeon Chemicals has begun production of two advanced grades of its HyTemp polyacrylates at its Louisville, Kentucky plant. The company has now begun production of their newest polyacrylate HyTemp Super ACM AR212HR and the HyTemp AR12 grade at the Louisville facility.
Zeon said, "This grade was originally manufactured at the Zeon Corporation facility in Kawasaki, Japan, and will still be produced there under the Nipol AR12 trade name to continue to support the fast-growing Asian market."
In a statement, Zeon said, "HyTemp AR212HR, Zeon's newest high heat-resistant Super ACM, is designed to withstand continuous heat to 180°C and intermittent heat to 200°C. This polymer was created to improve the processability and processing safety of ACMs for use in charge air cooler (also known as turbo diesel injection) and transmission oil cooler (TOC) hoses, air ducts and various other applications to meet the changing needs of the automotive industry. In addition to its superior heat resistance, HyTemp AR212HR has a scorch safety factor more than four times that of standard ACMs for improved extrusion and molding characteristics."
