Elastomers in Engineering: call for papers
London -- The Rubber in Engineering Group of the IOM3 has issued a call for papers for a 1-day conference on 23 November, 2006 in central London. Titled Elastomers for engineering: future trends", the conference has three main themes:
1. New developments and possibilities with rubbers, elastomers and soft solids.
2. New challenges and solutions driven by technological needs, cost and by legislative requirements.
3. New processing trends and compounding ingredients.
Papers posing questions will be welcomed alongside those offering approaches
and solutions.
The deadline for receipt of paper titles and abstracts: 9 am Wed.18 Jan. 2006. Abstracts should be e-mailed to: Vince Coveney (vince.coveney@uwe.ac.uk).
Abstracts should be between 150 and 500 words in length and the emphasis or emphases of the paper should be indicated - viz presentation of new results, a new approach, a new material development or emerging questions and future challenges and opportunities.
