Chemtura re-starts third EPDM line in Geismar following 19 Oct fire

Geismar. Louisiana -- Chemtura Corp. said its Crompton manufacturing facility at Geismar has restarted an EPDM production unit that was damaged by a fire Oct. 19. The unit is producing Royalene-brand EPDM.

The Geismar facility includes three EPDM production lines. The other two lines were not affected by the fire, but were shut down for just over a week as a precautionary measure, said the company. All three units are now running at 100 percent capacity.
