Bekaert closes wire plant (not steelcord) in Michigan
Kortrijk, Belgium -- Bekaert has announced the closure of a steel wire plant in Muskegon, Michigan with the loss of around 65 jobs. The factory makes high-carbon wires for the auto industry such as brake cables, said Bekaert. The company confirmed that the plant does not make any steelcord for the tyre industry.
