Carbon black conference set for Budapest, Nov 2006
Portland, Maine - PIRA-Intertech has announced that its ninth international carbon black conference, Carbon Black World 2006,†will be held on November 6-8, 2006 at the Sofitel Budapest Hotel in Budapest, Hungary.
In addition, two optional pre-conference seminars are planned to discuss markets for carbon black and the latest technical issues. A tour of a local facility is also planned for November 9.
In a statement, the organisers said "The conference will bring together producers and users of carbon black, along with feedstock suppliers, processors and equipment vendors for an examination of the material's current status and to discuss strategies for future growth and profitability. A thorough global assessment will be made, complete with ideas on how the industry can continue to develop new products, processes and markets. Attendees will receive a balanced view of where carbon black is heading and where new business opportunities are developing. The conference will feature 20 speaker presentations by an international group of key executives and technical experts from the feedstock supply, manufacturing, research and development and end-use sectors. There will also be an exhibit area for companies to display their products, and a variety of catered social functions."
In late August, 2005, UK-based PIRA International acquired Intertech Corporation's conferences and publications business.
