NR prices approach 17-year highs in Tokyo
Tokyo -- Rubber futures are close to 17-year highs on the Tokyo Commodities Exchange (TOCOM). Prices on Tocom for March 2006 closed at 216.4 yen/kg, while prices for May 2006 hit ¥222.3/kg during the day, but fell back to ¥221.6 by the close.
Prices reached ¥228.2 on Tocom in 1988.
Prices in other markets were high, but did not break records.
