Diolen to add fifth single-step yarn spinner at Emmen
Emmen, The Netherlands -- Diolen Industrial Fibres has approved a fifth single-step spinning line at its plant in Emmen, The Netherlands. Diolen makes polyester-based technical fibres and yarns used for reinforcing rubber goods, including tyres, hoses and technical products.
The company said it brought the fourth "Fosty" unit on stream at the end of 2005 and in December 2005 approved a fifth Fosty machine to further increase capacity at the Emmen spinning plant. The new unit should be in production by June 2006, and will bring capacity at the plant to 45 000 tonnes of yarn per year.
