Cytec Specialty Chemicals names new team

West Paterson, New Jersey-Cytec Industries Inc. has announced a leadership team for its newly established division, Cytec Specialty Chemicals. The team will report to the division president, Shane Fleming.
Cytec Specialty Chemicals has two parts: Performance Chemicals and Surface Specialties.
The new team includes:
-Vice president, Cytec Performance Chemicals, Steve Stone
-VP, Cytec Surface Specialties, Frank Aranzana
-VP operations, Cytec Performance Chemicals, John Harrison
-VP operations, Cytec Surface Specialties, Bill Madigan
VP supply chain, Marc Macaulay
VP R&D, Jan Vandendriessche
VP Asia Pacific, Ying Meng Song
"Our recent internal reorganisation was designed to control costs and encourage growth of the business by streamlining operations and seeding synergy across all levels. As such, it is vital that we have in place the proper senior level staff to execute our objectives," commented Fleming in a company statement.
Cytec Specialty Chemicals offers materials for the coatings, mining, water treatment, plastics and adhesives markets and makes a range of urethane specialties, phosphine derivatives and specialty additives and stabilisers for diverse applications.
Its two segments, Cytec Performance Chemicals and Cytec Surface Specialties, together account for nearly 75 percent of Cytec's total pro forma 2004 sales of approximately $3000 million. The new division is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
Cytec's offerings include chemicals for the rubber and tyre industries such as crosslinking agents. These are used primarily as adhesion promoters by most of the world's major tyre manufacturers, where they help bond steel belts and polyester cords to rubber in tyres.
Cytec's urethane chemicals are used chiefly in refinishing automobiles and in industrial grade flooring.
