AHPC Holdings gets Federal glove contract
Glendale Heights, Illinois-AHPC Holdings, Inc., which markets latex gloves for food service and medical examination gloves, has been awarded a US Federal Supply contract, running 1 Dec 2005 to 30 Nov 2010. The contract includes both DermaSafe and Glovetex branded examination and speciality latex gloves in both powdered and powder-free types.
The Federal Supply Schedule allows the US supply agencies to pre-negotiate pricing for hundreds of thousands of Federal customers, such as the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs, streamlining their procurement process.
"We are very pleased with the award of this contract. We look forward to providing the products covered in this agreement to the various entities under the Federal Supply Schedule," said Alan Zeffer, AHPC president/ceo, in the AHPC announcement. "This is another milestone achieved and serves to underscore our sales and marketing strategy focused on Regional and National agreements."
AHPC is the glove distribution subsidiary of major rubber glove maker WRP Corp. (Wembley Rubber Products), which has manufacturing plants in Malaysia.
