Wyko opens office in China; engineering to follow

Halesowen, UK - Tyre production tooling specialist Wyko Tyre has set up a division based in China to oversee its Asian business operations.

The new organisation - to be called Wyko Tire Technology - Asia - will build on sales office sites already established in Shanghai, China and Kobe, Japan. The division will add engineering and manufacturing resources in the coming months, the company said.

Bill Jones, who has served as head of Wyko Tire Technology´s UK operations in Birmingham, England, for the past four years and an employee of the company since 1982, will serve as the Asian unit´s managing director.

Wyko Tire Technology is a member of the Wyko Specialist Technology Group, which in turn is a division of Wyko Holdings plc. The company also has operations in Greenback, Tennessee.
