Amtel names Vredestein's Tholens as cfo

Moscow - Amtel-Vredestein NV (A-V) has appointed the financial head of its Vredestein Banden BV unit, Antonius (Ton) Tholens, to the post of chief financial officer of Amtel-Vredestein NV. Tholens, who also serves as a member on A-V's executive board, replaces outgoing cfo, Victor Nekrassov who will leave A-V in February to head the Moscow branch of the N M Rothschild bank.

Several other appointments were also announced at A-V's Russian subsidiary, OJSC Amtel-Vredestein. chief operating officer and former Head of Internal Audit Department at Amtelshinprom, Karen Topchiyan, has been appointed chief financial officer.

Sergei Bokhanov, current head of sales and marketing, becomes chief operating officer and executive director. Bokhanov will also assume the seat vacated by Nekrassov on A-V's executive board.
