US company equips for latex moulded drysuits for divers
Boise, Idaho -- A US company is making dry suits for diving enthusiasts in pure latex. The company says the suits are replicas of the 1950s style suits, and that latex dry suits are now impossible to find. To fill the niche, the company - CustomWorks Ltd - has begun making the suits.
In a press release WiIliam Sewell who runs Customworks, said, "We use modern robotics, old world craftsmanship, and a proprietary process to give new life to an old product." The waist entry suit that is the companies pilot product is just the tip of the iceberg. The ground work has already been done for providing every diver / dry suit user with a molded customized fit one would only expect from a hand cut suit. They are a very unique suit, they appeals to the customers' desire for nostalgia and a sense of adventure. The basic designs are firmly rooted in history while using modern manufacturing to bring them back."
