Bekaert buys US beadwire maker

Kortrijk, Belgium -- NV Bekaert SA has bought a US manufacturer of bead wires for tyres for Approximately Euro 8.3 million. The acquired company, Delta wire Corp. is based in Clarksdale Mississippi.

The acquisition of Delta Wire brings to eight the number of production plants for advanced wire products operated by Bekaert in the United States. Delta Wire will continue to operate in its current capacity, so this transaction will have no impact on supplies to customers.
