Risch replaces Bachmann at Hoffmann Mineral

Neuberg, Germany-Dr Alexander Risch has taken over as head of sales & marketing at functional filler maker Hoffmann Mineral GmbH & Co. KG. Neuberg-based Hoffmann Mineral is a manufacturer of functional fillers.

Risch has worked for Neuberg-based Hoffmann Mineral since 199, starting as technical support manager, and in 2001 took over as product manager for the firm's toll manufacturing unit. A graduate mineralogist, he had significant involvement in Hoffmann's decision to invest in its recently opened new powder technology plant. Hoffmann's statement said Risch has promoted the "dynamic development" of the division, which has seen this business become the second main activity of Hoffmann.

Risch's predecessor, Wilhelm Bachmann, who had worked for the company for 20 years, left the company end of 2005 to work for Kuettner Industrieberatungs GmbH in Speyer.

Hoffmann added that it is also now looking to add an area sales manager for the Asian/Pacific market to its sales team.
