Yokohama puts ZPS tyre on Mitsubishi motor-in-wheel concept vehicle

Geneva, Switzerland - Yokohama Rubber Co showed its Advan ZPS (for zero pressure system) runflat tyres on a Mitsubishi concept vehicle using in-wheel electric motors, the Concept -EZ MIEV.

Mitsubishi described the EZ MIEZ as an urban capsule with great flexibility to meet the needs of city-dwellers. The vehicle runs on 20-inch wheels, permitting a relatively large and unsprung 20 kW motor to be mounted within each wheel housing. The tyres are 225/30 R 20. Mitsubishi made no comment on the rolling resistance of the tyres.
