Flexsys wins patent fight with Chinese companies over 6PPD
Washington DC - Flexsys America LP has issued a statement saying it has won a court case in which it alleged that two Chinese companies infringed its patents covering the production of 4?aminodiphenylamine ( 4-ADPAâ€), and its PPD derivatives (including 6PPD).
Flexsys said the the administrative law Judge of the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) made a final initial determination that Sinorgchem Co., Shandong and Sovereign Chemical Company had violated section 337 of the US Tariff Act.
However, the judge declined to uphold a similar claim against Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co. Flexsys said it would appeal against that decision. The findings are subject to appeal to the full ITC commission and review by the US President.
