Chemtura raises flame retardant prices
Middlebury, Connecticut - Chemtura Corp. has announced price increases of up to 10 percent on a wide range of brominated flame retardants, effective April 1st, 2006 or as contracts allow.
Chemtura said the increases will help restore Chemtura's Flame Retardants business to reinvestment economics and to capture the full value of elemental bromine. "This reinvestment is essential to ensure a reliable supply chain; to fund research into future technology; and to support on-going product advocacy programs." said the company.
