Rapra Technology goes into administration
Shawbury, Shropshire - Rapra Technology ltd went into administration last Wednesday, 8 March. The administrators, BDO Stoy Hayward LLP based in Birmingham, immediately laid off 21 staff. Rapra staff were unable to make any comment to the press, under strict orders from the administrators.
Following the redundancies, Rapra employs 111 people at its headquarters in Shropshire and seven at a small subsidiary in Billingham also in the UK.
BDO Stoy Hayward's business restructuring expert, Kim Rayment, said: With loyal customer support, I'm hopeful that it will be possible to sell this long established and well respected business as a going concern and therefore secure future employment.â€
