ECI wins grant to develop allergy-free medical gloves
Bridgewater, Nova Scotia - ECI Medical Technologies Inc. will receive up to $1.3 million from the Atlantic Innovation Fund over a two-year period to undertake an R&D programme to develop and commercialise the world's first water-based thermoplastic surgical glove. The project has a total cost estimated at over $1.6 million.
ECI makes a patent-protected line of synthetic latex-free medical gloves produced for the world market based on aqueous isoprene styrene materials.
