Goodyear's runflat web-movies score with public
Cyberspace - Goodyear has put three web-based mini-movies on the web in the hope of developing improved awareness of runflat tyres. The three movies all feature black humour as each depicts a motorist being killed while changing a flat tyre.
Goodyear has triggered an email campaign in which people are encouraged to send the movies to each other as email attachments. Each movie lasts less than a minute, including a 5-second splash at the end featuring the Goodyear logo and RunOnFlat message, "Changing tyres can be dangerous".
Lycos, an internet portal, has 99 votes from viewers suggesting that the movies score a creditable 2.8. Other movies rated on the site score between 1 and 3 out of a maximum 5.
