COlorado Springs, Colorado - Goodyear engineered products has developed a line of fuel hoses capable of transporting E85 biodiesel fuels. These fuels are a mixture of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline and can degrade hoses and elastomer compounds designed to withstand pure gasoline fuels.
Goodyear claims the hose line is the first alternative fuel dispensing hose verified by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL). The products are being introduced this week at the NAHAD hose and accessories distributors' annual convention in Colorado Springs.
