Display maker buys US rubber component company
Atlanta, Georgia - Video Display Corp., a US designer and manufacturer of display devices, has acquired the assets and manufacturing as well as all marketing operations of privately held Hobson Bros., Inc. of Chicago, Illinois. The Hobson Bros. product lines will be will be merged into the company's Southwest Vacuum Group in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Hobson Bros. Inc., founded in Chicago in 1946 by Ervin J. and Roy L. Hobson, is a leading supplier of components including moulded plastic and rubber parts, wire assemblies and stamped metal parts primarily for the display industry.
