Fairlawn, Ohio -- Omnova Solutions Inc. will increase the price of vinylpyridine and non-carboxylated styrene butadiene latex, sold to the tyre and mechanical rubber goods reinforcement markets in North America, by $0.06 per dry pound.
The increase will take effect on 16 Sep and, according to Ohio-based form, is due to continued escalation in energy, raw material and transportation costs.
Omnova makes emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals, and decorative and functional surfaces for a variety of commercial, industrial and residential end uses.
