Report lists Chinese TPMS suppliers
Dublin, Ireland - A new Chinese-language report lists 34 Chinese suppliers of tyre pressure monitoring systems, as well as describing the demand for these systems in China.
The 180-page report was produced by an organisation called Research in China in February this year.
In the introduction to the report, it says, "In 2004, the [global] demand for direct TPMS products was about 4 million units, the figure will reach 44 million units by 2009, with an compound average growth rate of 61.6 percent. The demand for indirect TPMS products will increase from 0.75 million units in 2004 to 1 million units in 2009, with an annual compound average growth rate of 5.9 percent.
Currently, says the report, there are no laws concerning TPMS systems in China, and few vehicles are fitted with them. However, the report continues, "in the long run, the government will soon or later promulgate the compulsory regulation of TPMS installation. Especially for large-sized trucks, the installation of TPMS is necessary. Therefore, the market has a bright future. At present, most manufacturers are still in the R&D period, and shipment stay low.
The report is available in the Chinese-language from information broker Research and Markets at a cost of Euro 1151.
