JADE releases details of rubber futures contract
Singapore - The Joint Asian Derivatives Exchange (JADE) has released the details of its Technically Specified Rubber 20 futures contract, which it plans to launch on 25 Sep.
TSR 20 Rubber will have a trading unit of 20 tonnes and be traded in US dollars.
The contract is the first product created by JADE, a joint venture between the Singapore Exchange and New York-listed CBOT Holdings Inc., which will host TSR 20 Rubber through it e-CBOT trading platform.
''JADE believes that the TSR 20 Rubber futures contract will meet the derivatives industry's demand for an efficient hedging instrument in Asia,'' Chong Kim Seng, JADE managing director, said.
