Tokyo - Hideo Hara has been appointed Bridgestone Corp's vice president responsible of original equipment tyre sales and motorsports, effective of 16 Oct.
Hara's promotion comes after a five-year stint as executive vice president of tyre development and technology at the Japanese tyre maker's US division, Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC.
Hara will be replaced by Bridgestone's current director of tyre development, Yatuka Yamaguchi.
