Nokian launches Hakka summer tyre range
Helsinki - Nokian Tyres plc has launched a new summer tyre for rough, wet and grooved roads aimed at markets in Scandinavia and Russia.
The new Hakka range, which includes two tyres each for passenger cars and delivery vehicles, will go on sale in Russia and the Scandinavian countries in the spring of 2007.
The company said its Hakka H and Hakka V passenger tyre models has the same tread pattern but different rubber compounds.
Hakka H was designed for maximum speeds of 210 km/h while Hakka V can withstand speeds of up to 240 km/h.
“Product development has focused on the prevention of aquaplaning, as well as on enhancing wet grip and tyre handling on dry asphalt. The novelties feature many technical solutions that have resulted in low inside and pass-by noise,†a Nokian statement said.
