Haaksbergen, Netherlands - Tyre and rubber compound machinery maker VMI has acquired Manufacturing Technologies International (MTI) Corp, a manufacturer of rubber injection systems for the automotive, pharmaceutical and aerospace industries.
MTI's manufacturing, sales and corporate operation will be relocated to the existing VMI Americas facility in Stow, Ohio, and the new merged entity - VMI-MTI - will be run by MTI president Robert Brown.
A subsidiary of the Dutch TKH Group NV, VMI operates plants in the Netherlands, Germany, China and USA, employing 650 people.
“The goal of the new division is to allow broader market exposure of MTI's forefront technological know-how and capabilities,†a company statement said.
