Trelleborg Automotive president resigns
Trelleborg, Sweden - The president of Trelleborg Group AB subsidiary Trelleborg Automotive, George Caplea, will leave the company on 1 Oct.
Peter Nilsson, president and chief executive of Trelleborg, will assume responsibility for Trelleborg Automotive until further notice.
"George has fantastic knowledge of and a broad network of contacts in the
automotive industry," Nilsson said.
"However, his position has involved a large workload, with extensive global
travel, and it is understandable that George has now chosen to focus on a
role with less travel, which allows more time for his family."
The Swedish company said Caplea, who has been business area president since 1998 and executive vice president of the Trelleborg Group since 2002, will become the head of North American operations for another “non-competing†company.
