Home Rubber buys mixer Ivanhoe Rubber
Trenton, New Jersey -- Home Rubber Co. has purchased custom specification mixer Ivanhoe Rubber Co. Inc. for an undisclosed sum.
Ivanhoe will continue to operate from its Pennsylvania plant through the end of the year, when it will move to Home Rubber's factory in Trenton.
Ivanhoe comes with several highly skilled technical employees as well as mixing mills and laboratory.
Home Rubber said the purchase allows it to expand its product lines to include sheet goods, millable urethanes and other highly specialised compounds.
The laboratory capabilities will allow it to fully certify its compounds, the company said.
Ivanhoe, in turn, will see productivity gains from Home's mixing capacity, which includes larger mills for faster lead times and quicker customer turnaround.
