Lehigh to make concentrated rubber powder in pellet form
Atlanta, Georgia -- Lehigh Technologies LLC will offering its PolyDyne powder in concentrated pellet form for easier handling.
The engineered rubber powder maker said the pellets - available in 80, 140 and 200 mesh - can be added with other plastics in the extruder or injection moulding machine before being extruded or moulded into products.
"Lehigh has already experienced strong demand for PolyDyne concentrate from moulders, compounders and other processors who want to improve the durability of their plastics products, but don't want to install special equipment or handling systems necessary for mixing very fine rubber powder into their recipes," Michael Grubb, Lehigh's director of sales and marketing for plastics and specialty materials, said.
"PolyDyne concentrate, available in pellet form, gives plastics manufacturers the performance and cost-savings benefits they're looking for in a form that is easy-to-use and familiar to them."
