PSA to build cars in Russia
by Tony Lewin, Automotive News Europe
PSA/Peugeot-Citroen has decided to build cars in Russia and is investigating its options, said sales Gilles Michel, director of platforms, technical affairs and purchasing.
"At this point, we're not ruling out a greenfield plant, though I'm not sure this would be the favoured solution," he said at the Paris auto show.
"We investigating a variety of different cooperations and are talking to a number of potential partners," said Michel. "We are in serious discussions about two or three options. Nothing is firm yet, but we do hope that this can come out in the next two to three months."
PSA is most likely to build medium-sized cars, he said.
