Lanxess lifts technical rubber prices in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Latin America
Leverkusen, Germany - Lanxess is raising the price of its technical rubber products in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Latin America immediately.
Lanxess will lift the price of its Baypren chloroprene rubber, Buna ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, Krynac/Perbunan/Baymod N nitrile rubber and Krylene/Krynol styrene-butadiene rubber by between €50 and €400 per tonne, depending on the product group.
“The reasons for the price rises are the continued high cost of the raw materials and the drastic increase in energy and transport expenditure,†a statement from Lanxess said.
The firm's technical rubber products are used in the automotive, mechanical engineering, construction, electrical and footwear industries.
