UK magazine awards runflat honours to Bridgestone - just
London - A UK magazine, Auto Express has carried out a test on run-flat tyres, using a BMW 320i car. The magazine rated tyres from Bridgestone (Turanza ER300 RFT), Michelin ( Primacy HP ZP) and Conti (PremiumContact SSR ) on a series of performance-related tests, including braking, cornering, handling and noise, but did not award a measure for comfort.
Overall, there was less than 2 percentage points between the worst- and best-ranked tyres. Bridgestone and Conti scored joint highest with Michelin fractionally behind. The biggest variation was in rolling resistance, with the Conti tyre scoring just 80 points in comparison to the Bridgestone reference tyre's 100 units.
