DPE sets up China trading company

Geneva, Switzerland -- DuPont Performance Elastomers (DPE) has opened its new business entity in China - DuPont Performance Elastomers Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The move, which follows the inauguration of the company's research and development centre in Shanghai in 2005, underlines DPE's commitment to supporting customers in the important China market, said the company.

“China is a growing market for DPE's high performance elastomers and sealing solutions. As the technology leader in specialty elastomers we are committed to providing full-service support to our customers locally and around the world. Establishing the Chinese business entity and investment in the new R&D Center are demonstration of our commitment to help customers grow in the region,” said Francine Shaw, DPE President and CEO, speaking at the Centre's opening ceremony and customer seminar.
