TPE topcoat for EPDM door seal gives colour

Guiyang, China -- Hong Yang Sealings of Guiyang is using new materials and a proprietary process to give co-extruded automotive door seals a coloured decorative top-coat. For

the top-coat, instead of a traditional thermoset material, Hong Yang has selected a NexPrene 9075A vulcanised thermoplastic elastomer (TPV) from Solvay Engineered Polymers, Inc.

Spolvay says the new approsch helps to significantly improve both the quality and weatherability of door seals.
