Trelleborg buys diving suit maker
Trelleborg, Sweden-In a bid to strengthen its position in the demanding environments sector Swedish polymer specialist, Trelleborg AB has bought
Hunter Diving Limited, a company based in Dumfries, Scotland. Hunter, which was privately owned, manufactures dry diving suits for professional divers who are active in advanced rescue services and defence.
Trelleborg said in a press statement that annual sales are slightly less than SEK 10 million (US$1.4 million) and vary as a result of project deliveries. Trelleborg intends to transfer production to its existing business in Tauragé, Lithuania, within the next few months.
"Through the acquisition of Hunter Diving, we will further strengthen our market-leading position in this attractive segment," said Lennart Johansson, president of the Trelleborg Engineered Systems business unit.
