Malaysia's NR production jumps in first nine months
Kuala Lumpur - Production of NR in Malaysia grew to 966 500 tonnes, compared with 854 200 tonnes in the first nine months of 2005.
Exports in the first nine months fell by 1.9 percent compared to the same time last year. Imports also declined in the nine-month period, by 6.8 percent. Malaysian NR imports are mostly in the form of latex concentrate, according to the Malaysian statistics office. In September concentrate made up over 60 percent of all imports.
