Polimeri declares Force Majeure on EPDM from Ferrara
Ferrara, Italy -- Polimeri Europa has declared Force Majeure on Dutral ter polymers from its Ferrara, Italy plant. In a letter to customers, it said co-polymers are unaffected.
The letter, dated 22 November, says, "Due to serious problems involving the Ferrara plant, our production of Dutral ter-polymers is significantly reduced, and we have no choice but to declare Force Majeure."
The company said it could not give any timescale for a return to normal production, but added, "We will not be in a position to supply our customers with the Dutral ter-polymers quantities we usually make available."
