H-F parent buys Techint-Pomini mixer division
Hamburg, Germany - Possehl Group, parent of Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH is acquiring the Rubber & Plastics division of the Italian company, Pomini, owned by the Argentinian steel group Techint.
The Rubber & Plastics division is the fourth largest manufacturer of mixing rooms for the rubber processing industry and has revenues of some €25 million. The division is based in Castellanza, Italy.
Pomini has scored some notable successes in recent years, selling its VIC (Variable intermeshing clearance) mixer to a number of new tyre factories being set up in Europe. Pomini has sold three such units to Continental in Timisoara, Romania and two to Pirelli in Romania, as well as other companies around the world.
The acquisition is subject to the approval of the cartel authorities. Both parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
The rubber and plastic division of Techint-Pomini contributes under a quarter of the revenues of Techint-Pomini, the rest being made up with high-profit roll grinding equipment.
