Pocklington UK -- E-Components & Chains Ltd has launched a range of metal detectable elastomer compounded O-Rings specifically developed to meet the stringent demands of the food and pharmaceutical industries. The products based on FDA compliant grades of EPDM, Nitrile and Fluorocarbon (FKM) compounds are sold under the Detectamet brand.
Available in blue, white and black, Detectamet O-Rings have been tested and proven in use at leading food and pharmaceutical manufacturing / processing plants. Fragments of Detectamet as small as 2mm can be identified by metal detector equipment, said the company.
